Back to University Wish List: Uncommon Goods

Uncommon Goods is great market place to shop for unique products since they stock products from independent artists and small manufacturers and so you can support local and independent businesses. They offer an array of different items which are suitable for birthdaysanniversaries or any other special occasion since some of the available items can be personalised! Another plus is that Uncommon Goods promotes being environmentally friendly, socially responsible and sustainable (yay!) so you can shop without any guilt!

But with the new academic year coming around, I thought it would be fitting create an home interiors wishlist for any returning students and any freshers looking for inspiration to decorate their new space, and I'd definitely recommend visiting Uncommon Goods for some unique and artisanal items for your new home! I compiled a wish list of items that will make your new home cosier:

Shop the Gala Photo Display by Sung Wook Park (£17)
Perfect on your windowsill, desk or bedside table – it provides a great way to display photos and mementos of your friends and family. An added bonus is the attached succulent pot, adding a bit of greenery to your room.

Shop the Homesick Candle (£25)
Fitting for those who are from the U.S. and are studying abroad, they remedy any homesickness you may encounter, since their candles are inspired by different states. The candles are hand-poured and made of soy wax, which gives a cleaner burn that typical candle waxes.

Shop the Matcha Green Tea Set (£53)
Ditch coffee, and opt for a more natural energy boost. Matcha has so many health benefits! This set is perfect since it has a bamboo whisk and ceremonial grade matcha (i.e. the best quality) which is necessary to make delicious matcha lattes from home.

Shop the Travel Cord Roll (£15)
This makes a great accompaniment if you use a lot of tech since you can store your laptop charger, other wires and earphones without it all getting tangled together in your bag, and also perfect for your travels.

Shop the Match Striker (£20)
Perfect for those who are candle lighters, like me. A nice and aesthetic way to display your matches, ready to light your candles to feel hygge after a long day.

Shop the Bedside Essentials Pocket (£15)
If you're residing in student accommodation, the dorm rooms tend to be quite snug, and it might not be possible to have a bedside table so I'd recommend purchasing this compact and convenient pouch to keep your bedside essentials – your phone, a book and some handcream.

Shop the Emerald Ink Tidal Print by Jen Rork (£30)
Rented places and student accommodation tend to be quite strict on nailing frames and ruining the walls, so I'd recommending getting a few prints framed and leaning them against the wall by a mirror or on your desk to add some colour and character to your bedroom/study space, and this print is perfect for that.

Shop the Planter and Disk by Kristen Saksa Juen(£35)
Add some greenery to a yet otherwise dull bedroom by planting some succulents and cacti to these beautiful hand made planters. Succulents and cacti tend to be a lot less high maintenance than other typical plants so I'd definitely recommend them.

Thank you to Uncommon Goods for sponsoring this post.
